A smaller version of the Rival 300, with a slightly better sensor but a few too many unnecessary bells and whistles. The Rival 700 is a great mouse with a large but sleek design that can accommodate most medium sized hands as well as all type of grips. The materials and buttons all feel like they are high quality, and SteelSeries really took their time making sure the buttons are laid out in the right places, with the right spacing. The Avago 3366 delivers crisp and near perfect tracking, making aiming with this mouse feel very responsive. There is also an LED on the left side of the mouse,that can be customized to show different messages and do a couple of cool things, but nothing that will actually help you in game. The main drawback to the mouse is the heavyweight, not helped by the unneeded LED. This makes the mouse less fit for FPS and RTS, and more fit for MOBA or MMORPG games. Software wise, the DPI, polling rate, acceleration, angel snapping and much more are customizable via SteelSeries drivers.
